OVERVIEW
Your Role - Lead Studio Facilitator
OVERVIEW We are seeking sparkly magic makers to lead our art studio programming of classes, camps, and parties. Candidates will be hard working, friendly, motivated, responsible, and nurturing team players who thrive at guiding and inspiring young artists through colorful project work and facilitating play and process. Our Studio Facilitators will be responsible for:
Set- up, facilitation, and clean- up of our studio project work daily, as well as overseeing the preparation of the studio between transitions
Being the lead instructor, delegating and directing tasks to studio assistants to ensure a smooth operation of project work and play.
Caring for and supervising groups of children.
Supervising drop off and pick up, greeting and checking in with caretakers and families about successes and challenges.
In some cases- planning a curriculum that meets our standards for learning, aesthetic, and in a joyful spirit that celebrates play.
Maintaining a safe, clean, pleasing studio environment
Working with children and families to resolve any behavioral challenges or conflicts.
In some cases collaborating with a co- facilitator, finding a balance between roles and responsibilities and co- planning classes.
Delegating tasks to studio assistants.
This role will report to Lacey, Founder and Director of Oh! Canary and our Studio Managers in South Orange and Montclair.

3 years of art and/ or education experience.
2 years of experience planning curriculum.
A desire to learn quickly.
A love for being present with children.
Communication skills to help work with various people and personalities.

Pride in your work.
An appreciation for an organized work environment.

You want to teach your own curriculum without any input or modifications.
COMPENSATION, SCHEDULE & LOCATION
Compensation:
For Facilitators working with our pre-written curriculum, this will be a hourly payroll position to start. Rates commiserate with experience starting at $26 an hour.
Schedule:
Part Time, scheduled seasonally, weekend availability preferred.
