Build Your Own Monster With Paper Mache!

During these 4 sessions, Local artist Jake Guttormsson will introduce kids to the ancient art of paper mache — the sculpture method using paper and glue to create 3-dimensional objects. The young artists will design and create a paper mache monster of their very own.

The first week we'll learn the essentials of Paper Mache, and start our basic form. On the second and third weeks, we will continue developing our form and add different creature features like legs, horns, wings, teeth, tails, and snouts. In our final session, we will paint and decorate our creatures.

This class is designed for kids 7 and up, but parents are welcome if Mom or Dad has a vision too!

Paper mache is fun, but very messy. If your kid doesn't like touching sticky or slimy things - this might not be the right class for them.

Classes will run Saturdays, starting January 11th from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm - $150 per person, but 1 kid and 1 parent can team up!
